Welcome
Hi, I’m Meagan – the hands, heart, and nose behind Ouachita Mountain Naturals. From my little workshop tucked in the Ouachita Mountains, I craft small-batch soaps using skin-loving ingredients like shea butter, jojoba oil, aloe vera, and silk. Each bar is hand-poured, hand-cut, and wrapped with care – because I believe even everyday rituals deserve a touch of beauty and nature. I started making soaps as a way to reconnect with the land, create something real, and share a little peace through the simple luxury of handmade products. My goal is to bring you something that not only feels good on your skin but makes you feel good in your soul. Thank you for being here and for supporting handmade. It means more than you know.

What are the benefits of using handmade soaps?
Handmade soaps are thoughtfully crafted in small batches using nourishing oils and skin-loving ingredients, offering a gentle, down-to-earth alternative to mass-produced bars. Unlike commercial soaps, they retain natural glycerin, helping your skin stay soft and moisturized. Many handmade bars also include plant-based butters, clays, and safe colorants like mica, chosen for their function, feel, and beauty.
When you use handmade soap, you’re choosing a more intentional, mindful product made with ingredients you can actually recognize, and a touch of everyday luxury that honors both craft and care.
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
While I don’t make medical or dermatological claims, many of my customers with sensitive skin tell me they love the feel of my handmade soaps. Each bar is crafted in small batches with simple, thoughtfully chosen ingredients – like plant oils, shea butter, kaolin clay and colloidal oats – and made without harsh detergents or unnecessary additives.
Because everyone’s skin is different, I always recommend starting with a single bar and doing a patch test – especially if you’re sensitive to fragrances, botanicals or certain colorants.
What is the shelf life of your handmade soaps?
Our handmade soaps typically have a shelf life of 12 to 24 months when stored properly in a cool, dry place. To maintain their quality, keep them away from direct sunlight and moisture. Using a soap dish that allows drainage can also extend their lifespan.
